Livonia Youth Choir

The purpose of the Livonia Youth Choir, Inc., is to provide children in grades three through eight with the opportunity to participate in a children’s choir of high standard; to further their musical education through the study and performance of fine music, to develop their vocal and musical skills through specialized training, and to develop performance skills throughout the choral experience.

The Choirs
Lyric Choir: A preparatory choir. The primary goal is to build capacity within the student to perform in a choir of high standard. Music theory, ear training, and emergent musical talent will be developed. The choristers will participate in a minimum of two concerts per year.

Bella Voce Choir: An advanced choir where choristers are exposed to advanced music theory, ear training, and challenging musical repertoire. The choristers will participate in a minimum of two concerts per year with opportunities for solos, solis, and ensemble experiences.

Tuition:
Lyric Choir: $28/month ($250 total tuition), $25 registration fee, $20 music fee.  
Bella Voce Choir: $36.50/month ($325 total tuition), $25 registration fee, $20 music fee. 

Tuition is based on a 9-month program cycle and is paid September through May.  Monthly payments are acceptable

Auditions
Our audition process is very relaxed and informal. Please no prepared music. Auditions take place at St. Paul's (where we also rehearse - see below). Please call or email if you have any questions or concerns.

Rehearsal Schedule
Monday nights mid September through end of May.
Lyric 6-7 pm (60 min)
Bella Voce 7:15-8:30 pm (75 min)
Mandatory Technical rehearsal prior to performances
Mandatory Winter and Spring performances
